4D phase playback

Play a recognized multiphase series group.

Choose data

4D requires geometrically matching phases, currently assembled from multiple classic single-frame series. A large slice count alone does not imply 4D support. Respiratory descriptions such as Gated, 0.0%A are supported after matching geometry is verified. Import all phases from the same study. RTSTRUCT objects are not image phases.

Play and position

Play current phase slices loops slices within the current phase; 4D Play loops through phases at the same location. Only one mode runs at a time. The other playback button is disabled until playback stops. Click the corresponding button again to stop and keep the current location. Both modes are available in the expanded and collapsed sidebar. Manually changing phase stops slice playback. The expanded panel selects phases and 1–15 FPS (default 2). Quad-layout 3D follows each phase and playback waits for its frame. With 3D selected, only phase playback is available; actual speed depends on loading and rendering.

Pause before editing

Phase changes preserve window, location and display transforms. Stop playback before editing. Segmentation and VOIs are stored separately for each phase and calculated from that phase’s voxels. Returning restores its regions; clearing affects only the current phase. Workspaces save regions for all phases. Automatic propagation, tracking and time-series curves are not provided. Measurements are isolated by slice and grid. Enhanced multiframe CT is outside the supported scope.
